Woodbury Green Building Consultation, Inc. is a certified Energy Star Partner, and a Certified Home Energy Rater through The Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET)
We provide Energy Star ratings for new construction in two phases. First, we analyze your building plans and make detailed recommendations based on Energy Star guildelines.
WGBC will conduct a thorough review of your plans providing you with the following information:
- Current condition analysis: Where you are with current planning.
- Improvement analysis – what steps you will need to take to achieve your building objectives.
- Common Problems Report – a list of conditions that have historically caused homes to under perform. These reports are provided in a format tailored for your architect and general contractor.
The second phase involves inspection of the building including the following inspections:
- Insulation, and air sealing inspection
- Mechanical systems inspection ( and duct pressurization testing for air conditioning systems)
- Window and door glazing inspection
- Final inspection including whole house leakage/depressurization blower door test to determine air tightness.
